This festival, held on 19 January, is one of the oldest in the city and(!) the country. The tour of the Tres Tombs, as this parade is widely know, started in 1826 in honor of the saint Antoni Abat. In this parade we remember that just 100 years ago there were no cars in Barcelona and all transportation was done with the help of horses: From the farmers and from the police and even the horses that pulled the hearses were used in the various transport tasks in this city.
The parade starts at 11am in the street Calabria and goers to the Plaça Sant Jaume where it expects to arrive around 13hs.
