MACBA: the best of our Contemporary Art

MACBA by Bed & Breakfast in Barcelona

The history of the Museum Contemporary Art (MACBA) goes back to 1959 when art critic Alexandre Cirici Pellicer championed the idea of creating a museum of contemporary art in Barcelona.

The MACBA, designed by American architect Richard Meier, is clearly based on rationalism and alludes to the masters of modern architecture, particularly Le Corbusier.
The museum renews its expositions on a regular base and we recomend you to visit the expositions and at the same time explore the architecture of the museum itself.

During summer (from 24th June to 24th September) the MACBA is open the Thursday and Friday until midnight for a friendly price.

The MACBA museum is located in the “Raval” district, in the Plaça del Angels number 1. And the price for visit all the museum cost 7,50€

In the neighborhoud of the MACBA you’ll find lots of bars, terraces and restaurants and it’s the favorate playground of the skating comunity in Barcelona.

Our Bed & Breakfast in Barcelona is a fan of MACBA Museum!
